Sunday 4th June 2022 saw a big charity football match being held at Doncaster Rovers Eco Power Stadium.
The charity football match was organised by one of our charity clients, #walkingsbrilliant, and was a fantastic day for everyone that attended. I have partnered with this local charity to provide free web services in support of their cause and was there on the day to report on the event for their website.
The match saw two teams of football legends line up against each other. The teams were managed by Harry Redknapp and Dean Saunders and featured a star-studded lineup of ex-professional players, including Mark Crossley, Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock, Paul Merson, Matt le Tissier, Paddy Kenny and many many more! It really was a fantastic turnout of former professional and international footballers.
A crowd of thousands saw ‘Harry’s Heroes’ take on ‘Walkingsbrilliant’, with plenty of goals, drama and comedy on show. The game ended 4-3 (I think, as I was busy taking pictures) to Harry’s Heroes. Goalscorers and final score to be confirmed!
